ECHOIC
QUALITY CONTROL DIRECT RF ILLUMINATION CHAMBERS
Quality Control (QC) echoic chambers, like anechoic chambers, are often an extension of a production line, repeatedly measuring backscatter (not necessarily far-field RCS) or antenna patterns, answering the question, “Does it pass?” In contrast to anechoic chambers that have microwave absorber throughout, echoic chambers have very little absorber except in strategic locations. Echoic chambers are designed such that their targets are placed to take advantage of the timing of reflections within the chamber.
DSC has designed and seamlessly integrated echoic chambers into production lines tailored for a variety of customer applications. These chambers possess many unique approaches for challenging target illumination and positioning scenarios.
