Identify Transmission Loss

When you want to know the transmission loss of a material, DSC’s transmissivity test system will provide 2D image data down to 2.5mm resolution. This can be a standard room-temperature system or a system for testing materials used in hot locations with heat soaks up to 800oC.

How it Works

The high temperature system runs atutomatically and records temperature along with mu’s and epsilon’s over a period of hours based on the programmed heat soak durations at each temperature step.

 

The room temperature system does not have a sample size limitation, but 4×8 and 5×10 feet are typical. The high temperature system tests two samples that are 12×12 inches per cycle and has two additional ports for an open and short to recalibrate at each temperature.
